How to pay for services

Service Users can pay for their support in many different ways. You may benefit from Local Authority funding (Direct Payment) depending on your circumstances, or you may need, or wish to pay for the care and support
yourself (Self-funding). Many of our Service Users do both; they receive local authority funded support and "top up" the support they receive by paying themselves for the little extra things their Local Authority does not provide, yet these extra things can greatly enhance quality of life.

Direct payment

If you need to know more about Direct Payment, how to get assessed for qualification, or what you are allowed to spend it on,visit the NHS Choices website. All your questions will be answered there.

This alternative choice means that your Local Authority will organise and manage your care. They will then either have in house teams to provide the support,or may work with a local, trusted and registered independent care provider like Cherry Care Services.
